Selling connected pet tech: explain the service at the till
A good product demonstration separates the included function, paid service and work the owner still does.

A camera demonstration may show a recording history that is absent from the free plan. A feeder demonstration may show a phone notification while its basic schedule can run offline. Explain those differences before a customer buys.
Write a three-part shelf card
- Included: the physical job and the functions supplied with the exact model.
- Extra: the service, accessories or consumables needed for the demonstrated experience.
- Ongoing: the billing interval, maintenance and support route.
Use a real example
Scout separates free live viewing from paid history and summaries. SureFeed Connect needs a Hub for connected functions. These are different extra-cost questions: a recurring service and a hardware dependency.
Make returns part of the demonstration plan
Prepare a model-specific checklist for removing account access, clearing personal recordings where applicable, inspecting consumables and explaining what happens to separately purchased services. A hardware refund should not be described as automatically cancelling a provider contract.
Ask the supplier for evidence
Request the regional SKU, package contents, current feature table, approved images and a dated escalation route. Keep actual trade terms separate from what a public storefront establishes.
