An AI pet camera has two price tags
The camera price buys hardware. The plan decides which recordings and summaries remain available.

Before comparing cameras, separate live viewing from stored recordings and generated summaries. These are different services, even when they appear together in a demonstration.
Scout makes the distinction visible
PETLIBRO’s current UK table includes live streaming in its free tier. Video history, behaviour tracking and smart summaries appear in paid tiers. The page also has conflicting broad wording about AI access, so recognition entitlement needs a specific check.
Count cameras as well as months
The supplier says each Scout needs its own video service subscription. A two-camera layout can therefore have two recurring charges. Use the cost planner with the total service cost for the intended setup.
Look at the result, not the label
A useful summary should help you find a relevant event. It is not a diagnosis, proof of wellbeing or a complete account of what happened outside the camera’s view. Similar-looking pets can also make identity assignment harder.
Scout UK prices: camera plus service
Checked 26 October 2026: the UK page lists one Scout at £79.99 before promotional codes. The following totals combine that price with one annual plan payment; they are not monthly billing quotes or a stock check.
| Plan | Annual service | Camera + annual service | Video history |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | £0 | £79.99 | None in the plan table |
| AI Standard | £99.99 | £179.98 | 7 days |
| AI Premium | £149.99 | £229.98 | 30 days |
Live viewing is listed in every tier; behaviour tracking, summaries and highlight reels appear in the paid tiers. Each camera needs its own subscription. Budgeting for two Standard subscriptions therefore adds £199.98 a year before hardware. Promotions, renewal prices and trial eligibility need checking at purchase: the same page mixes a 30-day trial statement with a seven-day trial and dollar-price FAQ. These totals do not deduct a trial or assume a discount.
